Items can be linked to wowhead by using the bbcode. ex: [Torch of Holy Fire]

• Item Syntax:

  Code: Select all

• Item Icon Syntax (Specific Size):

Having problems getting the itemset tag to work. Example:

I don't even get a tooltip for the itemset when I hover over it on wowheads site.

I've never used the tag before. But either way, a text link like: http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=-254 should get a tooltip anyways. For example, http://www.wowhead.com/item=40009 works. I didn't do anything special between the first and second link. That's part of wowhead's shit, not the phpbb pluggin. The plugin simply takes something in the format of [ item ]Some Awesome Sword of Doom[ /item ], looks up the itemID, formats the text and builds the link. It's just a lazy way doing it when you don't know the itemID and want it to look "pretty" without manually doing the formatting yourself. The plugin also caches some of the data so it doesn't have to lookup the shit all the time.

If at some point in time the itemset tooltips start working again on wowheads site, I'll see if I can get the plugin working here.
